OUR PRINCIPALS: All the good works we do are by our four core principles.

 

 

 

 

 

CHARITY: KoC 4888 provides monthly Food for Families to our local Parishes as well as numerous acts of assistance to these Parishes, individuals and organizations here in Mobile County and elsewhere.

 

UNITY: No one Brother is as good as All of Us.  You can count on the support and assistance of Brother Knights as you work to make life better in your Parish and community.

 

FRATERNITY: Worldwide the Knights provided over 10 million hours to assist sick and disabled members and their families.  Council 4888 alone offered over 9 thousand hours visiting the sick, bereaving for members and families as well as serving Parishes, community, youth, Habitat for Humanity and other needs.

 

PATRIOTISM: Knights, be they Americans, Canadians, Filipinos, whatever are patriotic citizens.  We are proud of our devotion to God and Country and believe in standing up for both.  We remind the world that Catholics support their Nations and are among their greatest citizens.

 

Created in 1882, The Knights of Columbus was formed to render financial aid to members and their families and provide a fraternal organization for Catholic men who were expressly excluded from other fraternities long in existence.

 

Morphing from the original Connecticut group, the organization now consists of over 14,000 local Councils worldwide and some 1.8 million Brother Knights.
